Captain Hardy Smith House
The Captain Hardy Smith House is located in Dublin, Georgia. It is the oldest home in Dublin on its original location. Built in 1873 it is located at 307 West Gaines Street in Downtown Dublin.
The restoration of the home included searching for mature pine suitable for cutting the large barge boards with no knots. The ones used came from the Altamaha Swamp around Hindsville, Georgia.

The Well
The well was discovered when renovations were being made to the house. All renovations were begun after the foundation to preserve the house was set up in July of 1995. This well is constantly full and the water is pure. It is drawn to drink. In the summer it is cool and the winter it is warm. It goes down approximately 20 foot to the water line below.
